We’re Live!

It’s official: we’ve launched our new talent agency for above-the-line women filmmakers!

When Bessy Adut founded Queen Bee in 2015, she was one of the few female filmmakers in the American industry. While Queen Bee has been a part of several successful projects, including the short film Escape Room, it has not been an easy journey. Bessy has frequently encountered discrimination based on her gender and “foreign” accent. After reaching out to other women in the film industry, she realized she was not alone. Almost all of them expressed their frustration at the lack of representation for women and minorities. It’s time for a change. That’s why she decided to start her own talent agency, Queen B’s Agents, to provide these much-needed services.

We have already hired our first agents, and as you can see, we will be representing many talented women directors, writers, and producers. Please spread the word about our new agency. Thank you for your support!

#youtoo

In other news, we started a women’s empowerment movement called #youtoo. It’s more than just a safe space, it’s an incubator of ideas and solutions based on your contributions. We are here to support and stand up for anyone who feels a need to vent or discuss the stressful situations they find themselves in and seek out solutions. To those who have been watching, thank you so much for your love and support! If you’re new here, please subscribe to our YouTube channel. We publish every Friday and accept requests for topics and interviews. Let us know if you have a #youtoo story to share!
